Martha Jane Roberts was a member of the Tim Goodale wagon train of 1862. She was 18 years old at the time.
Roberts passed during her travels and was buried on a hill overlooking Cuddy Mountain and the Salubria Valley in what is no Cambridge, ID. Her grave was marked by a piece of a wooden wagon with her name and date burned into it. She is labeled as the first white person to be buried in Washington County, ID.
