The plaque is located at Lincoln Park, in San Francisco, CA. It was erected in honor of Willard, founder of the World's Woman's Christian Temperance Union. The plaque is located at the site of which she made the statement "We are one world of tempted humanity," in 1883. It was officially dedicated by the National Women's Christian Temperance Union on August 6, 1938.
