One-story hip roof red and brown cottage. Built in 1898 by Nick Schummer.
The house is located in Sturgis, SD. It served as the home of Tallent, an educator and the first white woman to enter the Black Hills. She lived here for her final years of life, during which she wrote her memoir. In 1976 the house was officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
