Aluminum blue rectangular sign with gold text mounted on pole.
Copper square sign with embossed text mounted to boulder.
The dedicated signage is located on Route 9 in NJ, recognizing that section of the highway as the Lila W. Thompson Highway. Their placement commemorates Thompson as Ocean County's first woman representative in the NJ Legislature. The official dedication occurred on May 26th, 1934 by members of the Organized Women Legislators of New Jersey, Eastern Star and Business and Professional Women's clubs.
