Biographical Text
-
Stone rectangular grave with rounded top inlaid in ground memorializing Taylor. Carved text situated in the center, carved tree design located near the top.
The grave is located at the Lowell Cemetery in Lowell, MA. Taylor was a mill girl who passed at the age of 17 due to consumption. Her parents received a letter from a man named Pliny Tidd stating that he had Taylor moved to the cemetery on November 14th, 1845. It is unknown where her body was from her time of death in August until then, or what his relationship was to her. Much of Taylor's life is learned through her documented family letters and eloquent poetry.
