Marble bust depicting Stanton. Created by artist Adelaide Johnson. Dated between 1890 and 1920.
The bust is part of the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery collection. It is currently not on view. The bust is said to appear similar to Johnson's famous monument dedicated to women's suffrage and located in the Capitol Rotunda. This bust of Stanton is thought to have been a study for the Capitol monument.
