Algodonite stone statue depicting a pioneer women surrounded by children. The statue stands atop a stone square base. Sculpted by August Leimbach.
The monument is located in Lexington Missouri. It is one of twelve in a series of identical monuments commissioned by the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution. Each one is intended to honor the strength and spirit of pioneer women of the United States. All twelve statues reside along the National Old Trails Road, with this specific one dedicated in 1928.
