Biographical Text

Bronze statue of Earhart in 20th century style aviation clothing, holding the propeller of a plane.
This statue is located in front of the Amelia Earhart Public Library in Los Angeles. It sits across from the building in which she worked as a stenographer before her aviation fame.
In 2021, a driver went off the road and damaged the statue. In 2024, it was restored by the city of Los Angeles and a new dedicatory plaque was created.
