Bronze statue of Earhart in early 19th century aviation clothing atop a brick pedestal.
The statue was dedicated on July 12, 1981 on the The Mall of Atchison, Kansas, which Earhart considered to be her hometown. Earhart’s sister, Muriel Morrisey was present, alongside the mayor of Atchison, members of the Ninety-Nines (an aviation group which Earhart was a member and president of), and members of the community.
The statue is no longer standing.
